Ready for Battle

Tonight my wife and I read the devotion, “Ready for Battle,” from “The Heart of Worship” daily devotional book that we obtained through our church (Christ Place Church, Flowery Branch, GA) in December, 2019. You may also use this book in your daily devotions as well and are already familiar with this selection authored by Dr. David Edwards from Oklahoma City, OK.

God truly spoke to our hearts through this devotion … especially the last paragraph which reads as follows:

“The same privilege Jesus had in prayer, the Christian has in prayer. When a Christian faces insurmountable odds and the situation seems impossible, he can cry out to the Lord, and the unfathomable, supernatural powers of heaven can be released and come to the rescue of the Christian.”

What a timely message for each of us in these uncertain and chaotic days. It may seem that we are currently facing “insurmountable odds and the situation seems impossible.” But our Omnipotent God is on His throne and rules over EVERYTHING!! Will you join us in praying that God will release His “unfathonable, supernatural powers of heaven” to aid His creation and overcome this worldwide COVID-19 virus pandemic?
