Skegness, England – Used by Permission

This section of my blog is devoted to Alpha & Omega,  the monthly magazine of St. Paul’s Baptist Church located in Skegness, England.  Scott Sykes is the editor of this quality publication.  Scott and I have been corresponding with one another for the past couple of years.  Scott’s grandparents, Seth and Bessie Sykes, were well-known evangelists in Scotland and England in the early to mid 1900’s.  Seth and Bessie are the authors of the long time beloved hymn Thank You Lord For Saving My Soul.  The chorus in particular of this hymn has been an encouragement to millions of people around the world for nearly three-quarters of a century.  You can read more about the hymn and the Sykes family at the following two links:  Link1, Link2

Scott’s father, Dr. Seth Sykes, Jr., traveled with his father, mother and sister on their evangelical journeys.  Dr. Sykes, Jr. recently shared two sermons at St. Paul’s Baptist Church which are available on YouTube.  You can view these sermons at the links provided below.

It is an honor to be associated with such a fine and God honoring family.  I invite you to read the many interesting articles in Alpha & Omega at the links provided below.  (You might even find an occasional article by Jim Davenport.)
