Our church, Blackshear Place Baptist Church* (www.bpbc.org) located in Flowery Branch, Georgia, USA has an amazing 100+ voice choir! Singing hymns and praises along with the choir and orchestra provides for a wonderful and worshipful experience for the large congregation at each worship service.
Psalm 147:1,7 (NKJV) – 1 Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful. 7 Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving; Sing praises on the harp to our God,
Psalm 150:6 (NKJV) – Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord!

Blackshear Place Baptist Church Choir and Orchestra – Night of Worship, 11/02/2014
God created us to sing. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit prods EVERY Christian to “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise (Psalm 98:4 KJV).” The Bible teaches that there will be singing and praising in Heaven for an eternity. Can you imagine what a glorious blessing that will be? When we “Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving” here on earth we have just begun to experience what it will be like in our future inherited home prepared by the Lord Jesus. Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving indeed!!
Oh Holy Father, magnify our singing through the indwelling power of Your Holy Spirit as we Sing to the Lord with thanksgiving! May our Thanksgiving Praise and worship be pleasing to You our Savior and Redeemer! We love you Lord! We praise You Lord! You are Holy … the one and only! In the name of Jesus our Savior, Amen and Amen!

Hi Jim,
Thank you so much for sharing the “Night of Praise” with us. It was beautiful and was a blessing. I was able to sing a long with the choir as many of the songs are familiar to us. I am learning to love and enjoy the praise music.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Charlotte!!!
Blessings,

Hello Dorna,
So happy that you enjoyed the video. I have played it at least 4 times! The video is wonderful … but being a part of the congregation was so much more than wonderful! The sound on the video does not do justice to the wonderful harmonies that you could hear in person.
I am like you … I am learning more and more how to appreciate the praise music. Blackshear Place still includes hymns in their music, but praise music is predominate. When the hymns are sung, they are sung mightily and I so enjoy participating. It has been 3 years since I have been able to sing through a song in its entirety (due to my health). But that is changing. Most Sundays I am now able to sing nearly all of the music … not as robust as in the past … but sweeter because of the 3 year absence. I am looking forward to the day that I might again be able to sing a solo.
We are doing just great. Hope that you …l are the same.
Jim
